Meet The Uptown Girls

ERIN SHIELDS  A graduate of the Indiana University School of Music, Erin has performed leading roles for many off-Broadway and regional productions including Eliza in My Fair Lady, Chava in Fiddler on the Roof and The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods. As a founding member of the renowned musical ensemble, O Sole Trio, she has performed all over the United States, Canada and Europe, including headlining major landmark venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Ronnie Scott’s-London and the Redlands Bowl along with numerous TV appearances. Erin performed the role of Marina Vlady in the world premiere of Let Us Fly, working with TONY award-winning composer Larry Hochman (The Book of Mormon) and director Moni Yakim (Jacques Brel is Alive & Well) at the famed 92nd Street Y in NYC.

DIONNE CAROLE   A Philadelphia native, Dionne has swept the hearts of many of her audiences from stage, film and sea. Dionne recently performed the role of Storyteller in Disney's "The Lion King" in Hong Kong. Other credits include: Dreamgirls International Tour (Ensemble), Godspell (Peggy), Ain’t Misbehavin (Charlaine), Smokey Joe’s Café (BJ), RESPECT- A Musical Journey of Women (u/s Diva), Peter Nero & The Philly Pops, and several live musical theater performances with Holland America Cruise Line. She also holds a few winning moments including New York Soloist at McDonalds Gospelfest and Amateur Night winner at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem. Dionne is a singer, songwriter, actress, and recording artist that firmly holds a warm embrace for the love of music. She strives to leave a legacy of hope for the world one musical note at a time.

Meg earned her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts at Hofstra University. She has performed in several Off-Broadway shows including The Marvelous Wonderettes, NEWSical, and played Barbara in the world premiere of Night of the Living Dead: The Musical! She has traveled the world as a Production Singer onboard Celebrity & Azamara cruise lines and has played "Oz" in RCCL's production of We Will Rock You. She is also a successful voice over and recording artist working for companies such as YAHOO!, Nickelodeon, Theatrical Rights Worldwide, and Broadway Licensing. She taught herself how to play the ukulele during quarantine and documented the journey on social media in hopes of bringing joy to an uncertain time and inspiring others. She is a proud member of AEA & AGVA.

MELISSA TORMENE  Born in Milan, Italy, Melissa grew up in Iowa and moved to NYC after graduating from Belmont University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She has performed for Holland America Cruise Line as a singing dueling pianist, as well as at Hershey Park in a country/rock show. Melissa lived in Nashville for 5 years and worked as a recording artist for Disney Theatrical and MTI. She worked with the youngest female Broadway conductor Madeline Smith and recorded as Elsa for Frozen JR. Regional credits include Sophie in Mamma Mia, Olive Biddle in a filmed version of Pete the Cat with Nashville Children’s Theatre and TheaterWorksUSA, and Susana Miranda in Zina Goldrich & Marcy Heisler’s World Premiere of Auntie Claus.
